We didn't set out to build restaurants. We set out to build moments.
Urban Group began in 2009 with a simple observation: Dempsey Hill had a community worth serving. Cyclists finishing a morning ride, looking for somewhere to stop, slow down, and stay a while. We saw an opportunity — not just in coffee and food, but in how a space could feel.
That first café idea grew into something louder and more alive. A Livehouse — a space for live music, for energy, for gathering. It became Contemporary Melting-Pot & Bar: dinner, drinks, and a stage. A place where the night had a pulse. That chapter has since closed, but it taught us everything about what makes a space worth entering.
What followed were five distinct concepts, each with its own story, texture, and reason to exist. We are not a restaurant group. We are storytellers through food and space — and we are just getting started.
